Chief Engagement Officer

Connie Zweigle

As Chief Engagement Officer at Crane, Connie focuses on fostering strong connections - both internally and externally. She leads initiatives that strengthen partnerships, enhance client and employee experience, and ensure that Crane’s presence in the communities it engages with is built on shared success and positive impact. Her work extends beyond operations, shaping a culture that reflects innovation, inclusion, and long-term growth.

Connie brings extensive experience in building and scaling high-impact organizations. Over the course of 15+ years, she has played a critical role in growing leading technology companies, including Google, Twitter, and Slack. She brings deep expertise in pre-IPO environments, organizational development, and cross-functional program management.

Before joining Crane, Connie was a Technical Program Manager at Slack, where she managed multiple complex engineering projects and oversaw quarterly planning for the company’s 100+ person Growth pillar. She launched a feature request program that streamlined workflows, reduced engineering time, and increased project completion rates for Slack’s Monetization team. Recognized for her ability to drive efficiency and alignment at scale, she was one of only eight members of the Slack Program Manager Alliance, a company-wide task force focused on high-impact initiatives.

Prior to Slack, Connie built a career in recruiting and talent acquisition, helping fast-growing companies expand their teams globally. She led hiring for key functions while driving talent expansion into new international markets, including Tokyo and Melbourne. She also served as Recruiting Captain for Slack’s Veterans Employee Resource Group, spearheading outreach, events, and partnerships to support veteran hiring initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Connie helped launch Slalom Consulting’s San Francisco office, relocating from the firm’s Seattle headquarters as one of the first five employees in the new market. She was instrumental in growing Slalom’s local brand and talent network, contributing to the office’s expansion (now over 550 employees in San Francisco and 8,000 worldwide).

Connie is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, a focus that has shaped her approach throughout her career. She serves on the Board of Directors for Old Skool Cafe, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting at-risk youth. She holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Washington.
