Internal Ops Project Manager

Sasha Launer

Sasha brings more than 15 years of experience in internal operations, administration, and project management. With a background spanning research, nonprofit leadership, and organizational strategy, she is focused on optimizing Crane’s internal operations and expanding the company’s pipeline of development sites. Her ability to manage complex projects and streamline processes ensures that Crane operates efficiently as it continues to scale.

Before joining Crane, Sasha worked in the research sector at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). As a Research Specialist at UCSF’s Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research, she applied laboratory techniques to investigate the role of calcium signaling in neurological development and autism-related genetic variants. In addition to research, she contributed to lab organization and operations, refining protocols and maintaining lab inventory. She later served as a Clinical Research Coordinator in the Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Care, where she managed a clinical study exploring the effects of general anesthesia and surgery on long-term cognition in elderly patients. She oversaw all aspects of study coordination, including data collection, Institutional Review Board applications, and the development of study protocols, manuals, and standard operating procedures.

Beyond her work in research, Sasha is a founder of One Found Sound, a 30-person orchestra at the forefront of equitable and barrier-free music. She managed the organization’s budget, led annual strategic planning, and oversaw operations, helping to establish the orchestra as an innovative and community-driven ensemble. Her expertise in logistics and administration also extends to her time as the Recording Studio Manager at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she managed studio finances, scheduling, and maintenance.

Sasha holds a BFA from Carnegie Mellon University.
